Working Effectively.

At FirstCare, we believe that there is a shared responsibility between the company and the employee to meet the needs of our clients. To this end, we try to be as flexible as possible with all employees meeting their professional goals, their personal needs, and the needs of their families.

Likewise, we also expect that all staff share the responsibility for coverage of patients and job duties throughout the First Care Network. We expect this so we can build and maintain a fluid team of staff, willing and competent to accommodate the needs of our customers.

To make this system work effectively, we expect:

Staff to cover at sites consistent with their scheduled work hours, experience, skills and abilities with a willingness to cross-train.

Staff will be fully oriented, at a minimum, to all sites at the same level of care to maximize coverage options as the need arises.

As caseloads fluctuate, planned and unplanned absences occur, or a patient requires specific clinical expertise, staff will be expected to adjust schedules as reasonably necessary, to accommodate these needs.

It is expected that all staff work with their Team Leaders to assist with coverage to help maintain a spirit of equity and teamwork.

Staff demonstrating the ability and willingness to provide coverage at various levels of care will be rated higher in the areas of “flexibility”and“clinical skills” on their performance review.

 I appreciate having the support
of a large organization, who has a

 progressive mind set. The
 opportunities
 that are available
 with FirstCare seem   virtually
 endless, with new contracts
 being explored. At times,
 coordinating requests from
 multiple sources can  seem
 overwhelming, but is very
rewarding being part of a very
 dynamic organization.
